		<description>In the world of IRs, the use of Persistent Identifiers - Handles and DOIs - is much better supported, by Eprints, DSpace, etc. Perhaps it&#039;s time serious blogging systems followed suit, instead of depending on the misleadingly named &#039;permalink&#039;, which (as observed) is only as perma as the domain it sits in, if that.</description>
